[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]FINCANTIERI HAS RECENTLY FINISHED BUILDING THE CRUISE SHIP COSTA FIRENZE WITH A UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL DESIGN, INSPIRED BY THE BEAUTIES OF THE RENAISSANCE CULTURE OF THE TOWN OF FLORENCE. MORE THAN HALF OF THE LIGHTING ITEMS WERE SUPPLIED BY PATRIZIA VOLPATO: WE ARE HONOURED TO HAVE PARTICPATED TO SUCH IMPRESSIVE CRUISE PROJECT!<\/p>\n

The newly born ship of Costa Crociere, launched in December 2020, will sail in the Mediterranean Sea during the first months of 2021, immersing its 5200 passengers in the atmospheres of an enchanted Renaissance Florence, to then move in Asia, this way reaching its sister Costa Venezia, inaugurated last year and for which we had already supplied our design lighting items, taking care of such aspects of its furnishing.<\/p>\n

Costa Venezia and Costa Firenze have been the very first vessels of Costa Crociere to have been entirely designed specifically for the Asian market, more precisely for the Chinese one.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”93407″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

A “green” cruise ship<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Amongst the innovative aspects to be highlighted in Costa Firenze, there is the great attention to sustainability: its environmental performances were measured by Rina, an international certifying body and rewarded with the Green Star 3, a recognition given to excellent standards, including most of the needed requirements regarding environmental impact related to ships.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Dream-like layouts<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Is it possible to loyally reproduce the Italian Renaissance atmospheres within a luxury cruise ship? Yes it is, with the adequate layouts and with a maniacal attention to details, just as in Costa Firenze, where faithful representations of famous art masterpieces such as the David of Michelangelo and of typical Tuscan landscapes can be found. Costa Firenze<\/em>, that combines an elegant style with the most modern technologies, has 2116 cabins as well as specific areas for any entertainment such as cinemas, restaurants, art galleries, theatres and casinos. Each one of these spaces encloses Florence Renaissance style, in particular the taste for beauty, represented by the art of drawing, of sculpture and of architecture.<\/p>\n

Lighting remains one of the main aspects that helps to replicate the atmosphere and the luxury of the Renaissance period, being light a fundamental part of the design of any environment as it strongly characterizes it.<\/p>\n

After the success of Costa Venezia, Patrizia Volpato Srl<\/strong><\/em> provided also Costa Firenze with lighting items<\/strong> that are perfect for the furnishing style and the historical inspiration of such vessel.<\/p>\n

In fact, 52% of the lamps, that have been installed on board of this cruise ship is signed by Patrizia Volpato, for a total of actually 1758 lighting items.<\/p>\n

Lamps supplied by Patrizia Volpato moreover, answer to the highest energy efficiency standards<\/strong> thanks to the LED technology applied, dimmable as well and without forgetting the use of Domotics technology too.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”93410″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Creativity and customization for Costa Firenze<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The lamps dedicated to the furnishing of Costa Firenze were realized as custom-made items so as to answer the demanding design needs that give birth to a Renaissance Florence on water.
\nFundamental was also the promptness in solving some specific situations highlighted by the shipowner, such as when there was the need to substitute the central chandelier of one of the restaurants situated in area IV Aft Dining Room in the quickest possible time frame. Such request was fulfilled rapidly and with the best result from Patrizia Volpato\u2019s team, thanks to the great flexibility and the wide expertise on field that characterizes us.<\/p>\n
